Celebrity coach & consultant Ira Curry was just 29 when he launched his first business in 2018, and he's been unforgettable ever since. The prominent, record-breaking business star is forging new paths in business, which has earned the rising star his very own title: “King of Business.”
Fast forward to 2023, Ira owns and operates 5 privately held organizations with an aim to transform employees into consultants, consultants into coaches and coaches into celebrities by supporting the new generation of business leaders on each phase of their journey.
For his latest photoshoot at iracurry.com, we sat down with the “God-made celebrity” to learn more about his rise to fame, what being a trendsetter feels like for him, influence and more. You can read my full interview with him below.
Hey Ira! So you recently launched "Coachman" by Ira Curry Holdings. Can you tell us a bit about that software and what inspired this project?
Hey Kierra! "Coachman," was created to help 9-5 employees build a business with no business experience. But there are levels to it. Level I is to transform employees into consultants. Level II is to transform consultants into coaches. And Level III is to transform coaches into business celebrities.
Since I was a little boy I looked up to the stars hoping one day I’d make it big. Now that I am well on my way I want to help others do the same. I want the people to know that it is possible to reach celebrity status outside of a career in acting and music with the right guidance and leadership.
In a recent interview you said, "Following my dream was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.” What does that mean? Can you tell us more about that?
A trendsetter is someone who starts a new trend, style or movement. As I moved towards my purpose which led to my destiny, I later discovered that I was a trendsetter.
Trendsetters move into the unknown. We’re misunderstood often by those who can't see our vision. We experience setbacks, delays, defeat, and crises. It’s a tough call and although many are called, few are chosen. But to those who continue to move towards their calling, fighting the good fight of faith, are eventually "chosen".
There you have it. That is why I say "following my dream was the hardest thing I've ever done". But now that I’ve made it to my destination, I can see how all the setbacks, delays, defeats, and crises were working together for my good.
I know a lot of your fans are hoping this new interview points to a new project. Can you tell us anything about what's happening on your next project?
I'm very excited to be releasing more projects. I think just for me, I'm at a point where I want to try different things.
How often do we see a black man or female in a high-level leadership position in business? Where are the black leaders in corporate America? I want to provide our people with the opportunities our ancestors were denied. I want to provide our people a platform that will give them a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to exercise their gifts in high-level leadership positions.
To help with this, Ira Curry Holdings, Inc. and I are set to launch the “Vice President Trainee” program in 2024. More on this soon.
So cool! Recently there's been a lot of talk about your rise to fame. What were you like as a kid? Did you know you were going to be famous?
I isolated myself from others as a kid. I was bullied in school. I didn’t fit in. When everyone went left, I made a decision to go right. Outside of my mom raising me, I use to joke that God raised me using the internet, a laptop and YouTube.
I knew from an early age that I had a special connection with God. There were seasons He allowed me to forget but that was all a part of the process. God reached out to me in 2018 and asked me to leave my nine-five. He wanted me to step out on faith and into the unknown.
I understood the assignment. I trusted him. I went through my process. I faced my giants. I knew that my obedience would lead to Him making my name great. So, I'm not at all surprised that the appointed time has come.
In March 2023, you launched The Ira Curry Show, which is super cool. I'm curious what that transition meant to you?
The Ira Curry Show is a reality television series that focuses on the personal and professional life of myself. The transition from coaching to reality TV was connected to my next level. I've had so much success in business and it was time to do a new thing.
Entrepreneurship is a lonely journey as I've said in several other interviews. The Ira Curry show is my way to keep my fans encouraged, entertained and motivated throughout their journey in business. The show features behind-the-scenes of my personal relationship with God in my “God-Made Celebrity” skits.

Any final words?
When God created man, He gave us power and dominion. It's so important to take dominion over a thing. I want to remind you that you are called to take dominion over a thing. There are people who are waiting on you to get in position.
You're called to set a new trend. You're an influencer. You're called to do a thing in the earth that's never been done before. I want to encourage you to get clear on that which you are called to take dominion over.
